I don’t want to talk about this but I’m going to. That second gif is heart wrenching. She looks entirely broken. Can you just please imagine that for a minute. She loved a man that her mother killed right in front of her. Within days her mother then gave her away to marry a man probably 3x her age. She was forced to mother a child at 18. For years she was trapped in that marriage, ignored by her parents and ignored by her “husband”. Look at her fucking face. She had everything taken from her. You try to tell me that that doesn’t horrify you. Try to tell me that she “deserved what she got.” She deserved none of it. Not even after the curse. She never had anyone to look out for her or to teach her right from wrong. She was abused. And never once did anyone reach a hand out for her.
What completely breaks my heart is the way she looks down in the first gif. Sure, it can just be to fight the tears that are coming but she also seems ashamed when Cora says that. As if remembering her time as the King’s “wife” made her feel ashamed of herself because of all the things she (presumably) had to do. *shudders*
ouat/buffy: regina gets philosophical [x]
i like to think that regina hated leopold’s nightly visits and would jump up like this every time she heard her chamber doors slam and it stayed with her all life
i feel this is important to humanity [x]
"Can I go feed the horses with the other children, mother?"
Drawing is definitely NOT one of my many skills but I really, really wanted a ‘nice’ moment between Regina and Cora (as nice as it gets when your mother doesn’t have a heart) and this happened.
One question haunts and hurts too much, too much to mention - was I really seeking good, or just seeking attention? Is that all good deeds are when looked at with an ice-cold eye?
and i will try to fix you
personal headcanon: emma has these visions, these flashes of a strange woman she feels she has met before and it’s always the same expression on her face - somehow sad, but reassuring and welcoming and all together familiar.
i am sort of concerned about regina being in the enchanted forest with the wrath now
The Evil Queen and The Mayor aren’t her only personas, I feel like people sometimes forget that. I’d easily watch a chick flick about Princess Regina who wants to be - and is - both a regal, elegant princess and also a stable girl who rides horses and plays in mud with her servants. She doesn’t long to be just one of them, she’s a complex girl who likes long hair and likes short hair and likes the kitchen maid girl with golden locks and likes the stable boy with hazel eyes and is set off on adventures. (feel free to delete the comment)
or nothing can save you from her wrath, you fool.
